What's the difference between this tour and the one that includes Doka Coffee?
This version focuses on Poás Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens without the coffee farm stop. It's a great option if you've already done a coffee tour or prefer more time at the natural attractions.
Can you see the Poás crater up close?
Yes — Poás has one of the largest active craters in the world and viewing platforms give you an incredible close-up view. Visibility depends on weather and volcanic activity, but the experience is extraordinary regardless.
What should I wear for this tour?
Layers are key. It can be warm in San José but cool and misty at Poás (around 10–15°C). Comfortable walking shoes and a light rain jacket are recommended.
What animals can we see at La Paz Waterfall Gardens?
La Paz is home to rescued jaguars, pumas, tapirs, white-faced monkeys, sloths, toucans, macaws, poison dart frogs, hummingbirds, and hundreds of butterfly species.
Is Poás Volcano safe to visit?
Yes. The national park has monitoring systems and safety protocols in place. The park is occasionally closed due to increased volcanic activity, but we always check conditions before your tour and will notify you of any changes.
